Looking for fun interactive ways to teach your child their shapes in Spanish? Look no further as I’ve got a roundup of resources to share with you.

Posters for Play: Shapes

Bilingual Shapes Tracing Page

I’ve also created a worksheet for tracing the shapes. Each is labeled in Spanish and English. I created this page because it’s important for children to interact with shapes and not just see them. When they trace the shapes, they are subconsciously becoming aware as to how many sides each has, whether it has straight sides or curved, etc. These are all concrete concepts that help them categorize the shapes.

Print of the page and have your child have fun or slide it into a page protector and use it repeatedly with a dry-erase marker! Grab it from my shop!

Toys to reinforce teaching shapes in Spanish:

Any shapes puzzle will do, but this is the exact one I have at my house. We love it as it offers more geometric shapes to learn and practice than most others. I made my poster with this puzzle in mind. Pick up your own puzzle here on Amazon.

We also enjoy this Fishing Pond by Melissa and Doug that was gifted to us from a friend. This educational toy reinforces many areas: counting, shapes, matching and hand-eye coordination. The pond itself also has shapes that you can identify and count in it. Grab yours here.

Practice shape vocabulary in any language and hand eye coordination with any 1-2 year old with this shape sorter. Grab this one here.

Make sure to grab my Shapes bundle from my shop and keep on practicing Spanish! As always, I hope this has been helpful. Drop me a comment about how you practice shapes at home!
